Meet Dr Amelia Church
Training in Applied Linguistics Knowledge (TALK) Research is led by Amelia Church, a conversation analyst who researches how people talk at work. As an academic she finds how people make sense of one another in professional communication. Amelia has been teaching at universities in the UK and Australia for the past 20 years, and developed TALK Research to share research evidence with psychologists.
Amelia's research is published in international journals, she has authored and edited a number of books, and is a speaker at national and international conferences (selected publications available here or at Google Scholar.) Amelia is a Life Member of the International Society for Conversation Analysis and a Professional Affiliate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
